Born in Newton, Massachusetts

July 25, 1967

LaBlanc was born in Newton Massachusetts in 1967. His father is Paul LeBlanc, and his mother is Pat Grossman. He is of mixed Irish, Dutch, English, and French descent on his father's side, and of Italian ancestry on his mother's; he is almost always cast as Italian.

Graduated High School

June 5, 1985

LeBlanc graduated from Newton North High School in 1985. Before Newton North, Matt attended Frank Ashely Day Junior High School located in Newtonville, Massachusetts. After high school he attended college at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA. He left shortly after starting his second semester.

King of Commercials

June 1, 1987

At one time he was known as the king of the commercials. As well as a 1987 Heinz ketchup commercial that won top prize at Cannes, he appeared in slots for Levi's 501 jeans, Doritos and Coca-Cola.

TV 101

November 29, 1988

In 1988, LeBlanc landed his first regular TV role, on the drama TV 101 which ran for one season.

The single's video features Matt LeBlanc as Morissette's boyfriend who arrives late for a date with her, and it includes scenes in which Morissette dances.

Friends

September 22, 1994

Le Blanc finally made it big when he landed the role of Joey Tribbiani in 1994 on Friends, and went on to play this character for twelve years; in ten seasons of Friends and two seasons of Joey. When Matt LeBlanc auditioned for the role as Joey Tribbiani he only had $11. When the cast got their paychecks, the first thing he bought was a hot dinner. Friends was hugely successful and Le Blanc, along with his co-stars, gained wide recognition among television viewers.

Ed

March 15, 1996

Ed is a 1996 comedy film starring Matt LeBlanc. LeBlanc plays Jack "Deuce" Cooper, a talented baseball pitcher who wilts under pressure.

It received three Razzie Awards nominations for Worst Picture, Screenplay (David M. Evans), and Screen Couple (for LeBlanc and the real life ape who plays Ed) although it failed to "win".

Melissa McKnight

June 1, 1997 - October 6, 2006

In August 2005, LeBlanc publicly apologized to his wife and the public for having inappropriate contact with a stripper during a vacation in British Columbia. The couple separated on January 1, 2006, and in March of that year, LeBlanc filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. Their divorce became final on October 6, 2006.

Lost in Space

April 3, 1998

Lost in Space is a 1998 feature-length motion picture produced by New Line Cinema, starring William Hurt, Mimi Rogers, Heather Graham, Matt LeBlanc, Gary Oldman, Jack Johnson, and Lacey Chabert, and is an adaptation of the 1965–1968 CBS television series Lost In Space.

The film opened at #1; the first new film of the year to do so due to the success of Titanic. Audience reaction was mixed and box office results were insufficient to justify a planned sequel.

Several of the actors from the TV show appeared in the film. June Lockhart (Maureen Robinson) appeared as Will's teacher in a hologram. Mark Goddard (Major West) appeared as Major West's commanding officer. Angela Cartwright (Penny Robinson) and Marta Kristen (Judy Robinson) appeared as news reporters. Dick Tufeld returned to his role as the voice of The Robot, having played The Robot in the original program, as well as narrating the series. However, Jonathan Harris, who played Dr. Smith in the series, refused to make a cameo appearance in the motion picture version as the Global Sedition businessman who deals with Dr. Smith.

Charlie's Angels

LeBlanc played the role of Jason Gibbons. Based on the same-titled television series from the late 1970s, it was adapted by screenwriters Ryan Rowe, Ed Solomon and John August and stars Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu as a three women, working for a private investigation agency.

The film is a reboot of the original series, establishing a new timeline and narrative framework not meant to precede any television episode. John Forsythe from the original series, however, returned as Charlie's off-screen voice. Charlie's Angels was followed with the 2003 sequel, Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle.

American O'Rourke (LeBlanc) teams with cross-dressing Tony Parker (Izzard), genius Johnno (Birken) and the reluctant Archie (Cosmo). The four are sent to infiltrate the factory dressed as women.

LaBlanc's daughter, Marina Pearl LeBlanc, who was born February 8, 2004. Marina Pearl was diagnosed as having a rare brain disorder. This disorder affects the motor abilities, causing seizures.

In August 2007 Matt's former manager, Camile Cerio, revealed he was suing the actor, claiming he owed her at least $1 million. Her lawsuit alledges that she should receive commission for as long as Matt receives income from the series, Friends.
